Polyesters - The most popular and best for string-breakers, great for spin although firmer on your arm.
Multifilament - Modern replacement for natural gut but playable in all weathers and more durable.
Synthetic Gut - For good all round performance, not as durable as polyesters.
Hybrid – Traditionally a mix of polyester for the mains and synthetic gut/multifiliament for the crosses, this gives the racket a bit more feel and plays a little softer on the arm than just polyester. All strings below are available as a hybrid, for price add the price of the two strings and then half for your hybrid price.
Natural Gut - The original and most playable, but not the most durable.
String Tension: higher tension = greater control, less power and greater impact on your arm. Use the guide on your racket which has a recommended tension guide.
